Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or place entered in a search box is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. We do not retain or log those search terms on our systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email may be kept for the time needed to respond and maintain the correspondence. It is not shared outside our organization unless disclosure is legally required.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our servers automatically receive basic technical information when a page loads:
- Your device's IP address
- Browser name and version
- Operating system and device category
- Visited pages and approximate time on them
- Referring website, when supplied
- Date and time associated with a page view
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small device files that support traffic measurement and help show which pages visitors use. Analytics providers combine this activity into reports. A browser can reject cookies, although some functions may then work differently.
What We Do With This Data
- Operating and improving site speed and availability
- Directing a query to the selected search provider
- Measuring which material visitors use
- Diagnosing errors and security problems
- Displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Criminal-Record Data on File
We do not host, compile, or sell a database of personal criminal records. The published material identifies official sources such as the Lafayette County Sheriff's Office, local courts, Arkansas State Police, and the ACIC Sex Offender Registry. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party criminal profiles.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies supply the search tools. Their privacy policies, retention schedules, and disclosure rules govern information submitted to them. We cannot control those practices, so review the provider's policy before running a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to the Lafayette County sheriff, Arkansas courts, state agencies, legal resources, or commercial tools. Once a visitor follows a link, the destination's policy applies. Check that policy before providing personal information.
Advertising companies may use their systems to measure activity across websites and personalize ads.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be available to:
- Search providers receiving a submitted query
- Analytics vendors measuring site performance
- Advertising networks serving page ads
- Government or law-enforcement bodies acting under valid legal process
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable security practices are used to protect collected data. No internet system is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee that a breach will never occur.
Users Under 18
This resource is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. Information identified as belonging to a minor will be deleted when properly brought to our attention.
Your Data Rights
Arkansas Freedom of Information Act rights apply to public records held by government, while Title 12 controls dissemination of state criminal-history information. Those laws do not turn this private resource into a government custodian. Other applicable privacy laws may provide visitor rights. At a minimum, you may:
- Request access to personal data held about you
- Ask that inaccurate data be corrected
- Seek deletion where applicable
- Object to eligible forms of processing
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be revised as practices or legal duties change. A revised policy will be posted here and identified by its new effective date.
